Porterhouse Bob Horn Section
"CLARK ST. THEME": An original tune by Graham that got lots of airplay in The
Bahamas and on smooth jazz stations in south Florida a few yrs. back. Produced
by this year Grammy Award winner Ted Perlman and Graham for Buffalo Sound
and Nairobi Labs. It's Graham at his most lyrical.
"SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW"
is one of the most beautiful melodies there is. Graham and Ted's arrangement has Graham on tenor and soprano saxes.
In A Sentimental Mood
Is one of Duke Ellington's most recorded tunes and rightfully so. Played here by Graham and Kenny Lasaine.
"SOLANGE" is another original composition recorded in April of 2006. Graham has James Gadson on drums on this one. James is one the true giants of R & B and Jazz and Graham is truly honored that James lent his weight to this beautful Samba. Otto Ealing, the pianowhiz plays an extended solo along with Kenny Lasaine comping and soloing with thesimplicity of the all.
"OUT OF THIS WORLD" is latin jazz at it's best. Graham took
the melody and rewrote the chord structure to re-define this great standard.
Jimmy Varley on drums gave it that laid back Texas groove percussionist Ricardo
Wilkins was all over like....well, you get the idea
"FREE" is the signature Deniece Williams tune from the 70s. Graham has always loved this tune and it was a naturalto include on his latest CD. Mike Willars from Ronnie Laws band is on drums. Mike plays exactly what Graham wants without bring asked. It should be noted that
Graham Dorsey plays bass on all his recordings and has received a Grammy nomination himself for work he did on "FUNNY HOW TIME SLIPS AWAY" later recorded by Al Green.
Rhapsody in Blue: Featrues Grham playing Bass and Tenor Saxophones . A big beat extra!
